Located in the intersection of Erqiu Road, TiYu Road and ChangQing Road, Chang'an Central Square, with an area of 8 hectares and over 40 millions RMB investment, is designed in 1997. The construction began in August 1998 and opened to the public on the Spring Festival of 1999. The square, integrating western construction style and constructional art of Chinese traditional parks, is the largest municipal and cultural facility of Chang'an so far. It can accommodate tens of thousands of people, and it is also an ideal leisure place for over three hundred thousand resident here. 

    When you go upon the stages from the northern entrance, a spacious square with more than twenty thousand centiares will spread before your eyes. On both sides of the square there is a row of King Coco as high as 10 meters, as well as a row of banyan trees. Featuring the enchantment of southern China, the green trees are waving in the wind. Walking towards south, there is an outdoor theater, which can accommodate two thousand five hundred spectators. On the outside wall of the theater is a basso-relievo of more than 100 meters in length, representing the history of Chang'an, the great achievements after the reforming and opening-up policy, and the beautiful future as well. At the southern entrance of the square, there is a gate made of snow-white marble with a big copper mirror hanging on it, which indicating the justness, openness, honest and clean executive style of the town government. Around the square, there are four leisure scenery spots named Spring Park, Summer Park, Fall Park and Winter Park. Inside those parks are pavilions, stages, pagodas, cocklofts, mazes leading to quiet places, red flowers and green grasses, You can enjoy fountains of all kinds with wonderful designs. All of them are perfectly matched. The most attractive scene is the huge "FengShui Ball" at the center of the square, known as No. 1 in China. The huge ball is 1.8 meters in diameter and forms an array of "FengShui Ball" together with the four small ones of a diameter 1.2 meters. During the night, the colorful light decorates the music fountain brilliantly, which makes the Central Square a real attraction to the people.
