涌头社区居委会位于长安镇的东面，与深圳市宝安区接壤，面积约32平方公里，常住人口1700余人，暂住人口约40000人，地理位置优越，107国道、莞长公路贯穿其中。镇汽车总站近在咫尺，距离广深珠高速公路长安出入口5分钟车程，深圳黄田国际机场20分钟车程。
    自从国家实行改革开放政策以来，涌头的经济效益、社会效益及政务建设取得翻天覆地的变化。外来投资大量增加，现有外资企业近60家，民营企业20多家，包括有电子、印刷、玩具、模具等多个行业。农业主要以水果、蔬菜生产为主。2005年社会总产值达1亿多元，人均产值50000多元。居民素质日渐提高，文体活动多姿多彩，经常举办体育比赛、醒狮表演等活动。环境设施日臻完善，已规划有公园、绿化景点等多个休闲小区。投资软硬件配套齐全，太平海关长安验货场还与涌头联成一片，更有两个大型工业区正在兴建中。

A Brief Introduction of Chongtou Village 
      Chongtou Village is located to the east of Chang'an Town, in the close neighborhood of Bao'an District of Shenzhen, with an area coverage of 3.8 square kilometers and a permanent residents population of 1658 and a temporary residents population of 30,000. It enjoys a favorable geographical location with the State Highway No.107 and Guan-Chang Highway passing through the village. The township bus station is in its close vicinity and the Guangzhou-Shenzhen-Zhuhai Expressway Exit is only 5-minute-drive away and Shenzhen Huangtian International Airport is 20-minute-drive away from the village.
      Since the implementation of the state policy of reforms and opening-up, the economic and social efficiencies as well as the overall constructions of this village have seen tremendous changes. Foreign investments have been flooding in to the result that about 60 foreign-invested enterprises and 20 non-governmental ownership enterprises have been established, covering the industries of electronics, printing, toy-making, molds and dies, etc. The farming business of this village is focused on fruit production, vegetable plantation and pigraising. In the year of 2002, the gross output value of the village amounted to RMB 80 million, with a per capita output value of RMB 50,000. The quality of life for the villagers has been continuously upgraded, and various cultural activities been continuously upgraded, and various cultural activities been carried out frequently. Sports games, lion-dancing and some other events or performances have been held quite often. The environmental constructions and facilities are facilities are being perfected with each passing day.
